Tour Update: SXSW, Day 3

Today is my third day at South by Southwest, and so far my prototypes have been performing well! We played two shows yesterday and one the day before. Today is our day off, and we have two showcases tomorrow. Here’s a photo from the stage at Charlie’s, a bar near the capitol building.

The Road to Launch: SXSW and Beyond

Today marks the start of a new Sonic Wizard Pedals. I’ve been locked in the proverbial woodshed, mad scientist-style, working out the kinks in my first effects pedal prototype. Here are the basic ideas behind my invention:

1. Put 3 analog guitar effects in one box.

2. Connect that to a second box with preset switches on it.

3. Create preset combos of effects, as well as amp channels. Rock out.

I’ll be posting updates as I take my ideas on the road. The destination? South by Southwest, the music and film festival in Austin, TX. The band? Buckeye Knoll, the indie pop band from Oakland, CA. Days until tour? 12 and counting . . .
